...if all Play Arts Kai figures' sculpts were this well done, I'd own a LOT more PAK's. This is by far my favorite....

Maakie1 год назад#41454308Yeah, they have a goldmine of a license with making so much Final Fantasy stuff, it's really saddening. For his age and price, I guess my specific Cloud copy was decent: PICTURE #1733755 , but I just think it does not look much like him... It's interesting how much more love and time went into his hair sculpt rather than his face lol. I remember when I bought him and the figure was still pretty new back then, I was only happy with Fenrir and just saw it as 'well, a Cloud comes together with it'. :')
Hahaa....I hear ya, and yeah they could sell sooo much merch holding those FF licenses if they'd improve the quality...and come out with some dang PVC scales...sheesh.

...Cloud's hair is nice btw... :D

Stacycmc1 год назад#41342580Ah yeah...I remember seeing some of the Clouds and thinking hmmm... Luckily I bought mine from a friend who sent me pics of him before I got him, so I could see he looked pretty good. I agree though that the prototypes on these are sometimes WAYYYY off from the actual (Noctis is a PERFECT example....he was like night and day). If the quality remained high and was consistent though, they would do so much better in sales, cuz these really are cool figures.

Maakie2 года назад#41293194Yeah, I used to own one of the older Clouds, to be precise ITEM #1568 and the only good part was Fenrir lol.
If these figures would actually look like their prototypes, they would be amazing. Also from that older Cloud the prototype looks very good, but then the end product is a 50/50 chance of getting something that looks...weird! I think it's super disappointing it even happened with the recent FFXV figures. :( Well, at least I'm happy to see that Vincent is good, let's hope their quality can be more consistent in the future.

Stacycmc2 года назад#41176831Thank you so much..and let me just say ....I TOTALLY agree. I own CE Noctis, and older Snow, Cloud and this Vincent (my FF chars), but also have Hitsugaya and Ichigo (older Bleach figures) and then Dante and Nero (DMC4) and had Dante (sold him) and Vergil from DMC3. Of all of them, the newer Cloud figure I had was leaps and bounds better than these others (ITEM #230213), as far as the sculpt and paint goes...but then I got Vincent, and now he is by FAR the best one.
I've sold several others too, as sometimes the sculpts are just not good...or the paint is just meh. My Noctis, poor guy, is not good at all, but I think most of his issues are a poor paint job. His eyes have zero detail and he has HEAVY black eyeliner (he looks like Emo/Goth Noctis). His hair is also SUPER shiny and solid black (no highlights or anything), it looks like black tar oozing off his head. Luckily they re-released him and fixed a lot of those paint issues (but I of course still have the bad version), but yeah.....if they as much effort into all of their PAK figures as they did on Vincent here, I'd likely own a LOT more of them, as Vincent is beautifully done for sure!!!

Maakie2 года назад#41172919Awesome picture! And I'll have to be honest, I'm surprised at the quality of his sculpt as someone that previously owned other figures from this line! :P
