Hi MFC, another Speed Review today!
It’s time to review the third figure in this set, Mami Tomoe! I apologise for the lower quality photos recently, it’s been raining practically nonstop for weeks, and my iPad’s potato camera functions very poorly when using artificial light.
Regardless of that though, let’s begin!
Basic information:
MFC Page: ITEM #78577
Manufacturer: Good Smile Company
Retail Price: 7,429 yen
Price I paid: 7,980 yen (AmiAmi, October 2021)
Parts:
- Main figure
- Base
- Alternate arms x2
- Gun x2
Detachable arm parts and guns shown below:

Features and notes:
- Like Homura, Mami has two poses: Without weapons and with weapons.

- As usual, the base is amazing. Interestingly, her base has a metal foot peg, whereas all of the others in this set use plastic ones. I suspect this is because her pose is a lot more dynamic, and her weapons are comparatively heavier.

- While the arms themselves are easy to connect, getting the guns into her hands is a very difficult and stressful process.

Positives:
- Very accurate sculpt, Mami looks exactly like she does in the show.
- Two possible poses, allowing for more display options.
- The paint work is phenomenal, especially the sheer amount of detail on her weapons.
- I just really love the bases from this set.
Negatives:
- Her weapons pose adds quite a lot of height to the figure, and might not fit on every shelf.
- Her weapons pose can be quite difficult to set up, and there are no instructions included.
- Посмотреть спойлерUnlike Homura, her head doesn’t detach-
Overall thoughts:
Overall, I really like this figure! Although she can be difficult to set up, once you actually manage to work it out, this figure does not disappoint. This Mami Tomoe scale looks great both on her own, or when displayed with the rest of this set. If you’re a Madoka Magica fan, I’d absolutely recommend getting this figure!
That’s all for this review, thank you for reading!
