IshikuNanamiHey MFC! Been a while! How's it going? Oh, me? I'm doing pretty good BECAUSE I JUST HIT MY FIRST YEAR OF COLLECTING!!! I honestly can't believe it's been a year already, it genuinely blows my mind. So for this article, I'll be going over my collection thoughts! Without further adieu, here we go!
My FAVORITE Figure
I honestly can't pick just one, that'd be to hard, so I'll go with my top 5! (No specific order) ITEM #1001017, ITEM #886340, ITEM #287755, ITEM #1102838, and item/1131761! I chose these as my favorites simply because they are my comfort characters, looks aesthetically pleasing, and are overall great figures! When it comes to Sora and Roxas, I'm an insane softy, I just love them so much! Same concept for Link and Nier. Miyamura is just a character I relate to on a personal level, so he's up there not only because of how many designs and poses he can have, but also because of that. As for Asuna, she just looks sick as heck, so she needed to be up there XD
My LEAST FAVORITE Figure
If I had to pick one, it'd be this one: ITEM #836932. Look, it's a great figure, don't get me wrong! It's just that I'm not the biggest fan of the Gotenks fusion. The only reason I have it right now is because I traded it from my brother a while back. I'm gonna keep it because I love all of my figures, and I love the hair colors, though XD
My FAVORITE Thing About Collecting
Hands down the variety of figures there are. There are so many characters, series, lines, companies, etc., etc. it's crazy! It's a double-edge sword, though, because this means I can most likely find a figure of a character I want, but it also means I go broke WAAAAAY faster ;-; I do really enjoy it though, gives me a reason to find jobs and crap XD Aside from that, I have another reason why I love figure collecting: The communities! Everyone I've met so far has been crazy nice and supportive, and I feel like that's rare when it comes to hobbies. It's honestly been great and talking to people, let it be through MFC, Instagram, Reddit, etc.! You guys are awesome and I really do thank you guys for that!
My LEAST FAVORITE Thing About Collecting
Unfortunately, with good comes bad. Figure collecting is no exception. There are a few bad things about figure collecting that bothered me the most, and now I finally have an excuse to go over them XD First is lack of space. I've talked about this in multiple other articles, so I wont go into to much detail. All in all, I'm running out of room fast, and all I can do is wait till I can get new shelving. Secondly, money issues. As a 14, almost 15 year-old, in the middle of winter with no snow, no jobs, and no side-gigs, money doesn't come all that often. I am extremely grateful for what I already have, so I can't complain to much, there's just so much I want XD Finally, DUST. I HATE DUST SO FREAKING BADLY IT'S CRAZY. I have to take all my figures off my shelves, some I have to take apart, and then put them all back in the right order. It's TERRIBLE. Now, 77 owned figures might not seem like a lot, but it's a pain in my butt. Not to mention, when I don't dust, my display looks like crap. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent about dust XD
My Most Anticipated Pre-order
Easiest one to answer yet! ITEM #1211232. I have been waiting for this boy since his ANNOUNCEMENT DATE! I stinking SCREAMED when I saw he was up thanks to Instagram. I never ordered anything so fast! Nagito is one of my favorite male characters ever, top 10 for sure, so I needed him. Just can't wait for the Chiaki Pop Up Parade next :D Aside from Nagito, I'm most excited for either ITEM #1131851 or item/1213399! Roxas because he's my favorite character EVER, and I've been waiting for him for like half a year, so I need him soon. As for Rushia, she's my favorite Hololive memeber, or Vtuber in general, so it was pretty obvious I needed her XD
My Favorite Figure Line
Easily Nendoroid. I know that seems like a basic answer, but it's the truth! I love the chibi looks, while also being stylized enough that they're cool! The art styles, quality, material, and poseability also add quite a bit to it, though it's mainly just becaus I like to see cute versions of my favorite characters. I would do a least favorite figure line, but I honestly don't have one XD
With my birthday coming up in less than a month, I'll also probably do a 100th figure post, so look out for that! Alright that's all I can think of for now!
