While relatively simplistic in nature, the figure still emotes a lot of energy and emotion, and you're right -- this sculpt is really beautiful, and the model is a striking beauty. I really appreciate your display of the difference in lighting as well. This is something that most non-photographers will never truly realize -- photography and the images that we are inundated with every day is principally controlled by the lighting -- without the proper atmosphere and display of the features, everything would be a flat mess. The towel, in particular, is the perfect example of this -- at first, I was pretty "meh" about the addition of the towel, but in the right lighting, it became another character in the pose, doing its darn'dness to keep her covered.

Lighting is always a tricky thing with figure reviews. You want bright enough light so the photos won't be noisy, but not so much that you get hot spots or that details get completely blown out.

Usually, more artistic shots don't necessarily mesh with doing an objective review of a figure, but in this case that reduced-lighting shot worked kind of well. Like you said, the lower light level accentuates the detail on the towel.

Even with the advances in camera tech and editing tools, it can still be tough to get good photos, particularly when doing indoor photography.

Cloudberry10 месяцев назад#70731691The shading/sculpting for her whole backside is amazing. From her back muscle, butt, and even behind the knee is superb.

The body sculpt is one of the best features of this figure to be sure, and in PICTURE #2332264 there are so many interesting features on display, like her taut butt and the musculature on her back.

victorviper10 месяцев назад#70731003At first, I thought maybe you owned both this version and the wet variant. I guess you bought this one, sold it, and then re-bought it? Is there some interesting story there?
Yeah...pretty much, not an interesting story but it happened. Also yes both of my copies had the same issue

galablue10 месяцев назад#70730940ah, yes, a perfect back and butt sculpt. as soon as i saw her from behind i was like "yes! back dimples!"
this figure is surprisingly loveable for me. i typically think that they make anime girl's breasts too large (many swimsuit figures suffer from the balloon breast), but i find that hers are a pleasant surprise with how they're realistically being pressed up against her chest as if she was scrambling for the towel. and her expression is great, a good "unsure" look about her.
but you're right -- she's totally closer to 1/6 than 1/7. i mean ... i guess that could be more bang for your buck?

That's a good point about the overall body sculpt. Her breasts are definitely not balloon-y in any way, and the body sculpt, while idealized to be sure, is not crazy unrealistic. Now that I think about it, her waist is not as impossibly narrow as you sometimes see in figures, too.

As far the scale goes, the thick base definitely makes her look 1/6, even if she is more like 1/6.5. I've get her displayed next to ITEM #549591 and ITEM #397101, you can't readily tell the difference in scale between Momohime and those 1/6 figures just at a glance.
