Thanks again for all the positive feedback on my reviews so far! To see my past reviews; click here: profiles.php?us...

Got a new figure in finally, after a long absence without having a figure of my own to review (last one was my girlfriend's)! So now to do another review! ^__^

From the "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! / Kono Suba" anime, this is Nendoroid Megumin (with bonus):

Each photo can be clicked on to give a full-size view of the image, even if the image itself doesn't display.

Here's her in the box:

As #725 in the Nendoroid figure series, Megumin is the latest in the ever-growing and increasingly popular Nendoroid figure series! She is far behind her friend from the series, Aqua, who was #630!

Like all Nendoroids, Megumin comes in the new standardized box. She's got most of her parts displayed in the window as well as the figure itself. It also has all of the normal information on it, like the series logo (in the top left corner), Good Smile Company (GSC)'s logo (top right corner), and of course the figure's name, number and image on the bottom.

There is also a GSC bonus with this release; which I will cover in more detail at the end of the review.

Back of the box:

Megumin is one of the main heroines/girls in the anime, "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!"; which is often abbreviated as "Kono Suba".

Just like the front of the box, the back has all of the usual information, logos and images that have become standard to Nendoroid figures recently. The background for Megumin's box is a red with light orange and dark brown circles around the images; perfect to contrast against her color scheme (hair and clothes).

She comes with a decent number of parts; so most of her poses and accessories are shown here on the back of the box (or on the sides).

Keeping up the standard (as it is now) of Figma and Nendoroid figures; Megumin's instructions are in both English and Japanese. The English is on one side, and the Japanese is on the other. It is the same on both sides, otherwise.

The instructions show all of her parts, including the standard how to change the face parts directions and how to brace the figure on the stand directions.

There are a few special parts with Megumin that are featured in the instructions, which are her staff, explosion and eye patch/shine.

Megumin comes with a good number of parts; both for her body and accesories. Here's the list:

Посмотреть спойлерСпрятать спойлер-- Megumin herself
-- Standard Nendoroid base with stand
-- Extra joint part
-- 2 alternate arms with holding hands (bent elbows)
-- 1 alternate arms without closed fist (straight arm)
-- 2 alternate faces
-- 1 alternate staff orb
-- Staff
-- Cape
-- Hat
-- Eyepatch
-- Eye shine
-- Smaller base w/stand
-- Explosion
-- Instructions

The explosion actually isn't attached to the plastic inner core; it's attached to the back of the inner cardboard:

There is a notation on one of the flaps of the box on the top when opened that says where this piece is located, since it's easy to miss otherwise.

Also there is one more part, but it's not included in the plastic inner core. Instead this one is actually only available if you ordered the figure directly from Good Smile Company (during the pre-order period). This extra part will be covered in more detail at the end of the review.

Out of the box:

Megumin comes ready to go out of the box once her protective plastic pieces have been taken off. She comes with her normal expression in place as well as extended arms. She is also wearing her Arch Wizard outfit she always wears in the anime.

As with all Nendoroids; the arms, hands, and legs are interchangeable and very easy to swap out with other arms, hands and legs. The same holds true for the face and the base as well.

Alternate Arms/Sad Expression:

Megumin comes with a bunch of accessories and alternate parts, starting with an alternate sad expression. This works well with the extended fist/arm combo; which makes me look like she's trying to get her panties back from Kazuma (as he stole her panties in the anime like that). This is really the only pose that this particular alternate arm really works with, though.

With cape and hat:

Megumin comes with her main two accessories from the anime: Her hat and cape. They attach very easily, with the hat simply being placed on her head and the cape around her neck.

Megumin's base attaches like a normal Nendoroid base with a jointed peg; but with the cape attached it has to go through the cape in order to still hold the figure. The cape can stay attached to Megumin without the base stand, however.

With staff weapon:

This is one of Megumin's weapons she uses in the anime; her staff for summoning explosion magic.

She has to hold it with one hand; the extra hand part for her right hand and left hand. Alternately, the staff can be placed against the open palm of the other hand to appear as though she's holding it with two hands as well.

With eye accessories:

She also has her alternate look as well, with the eye patch she sometimes wears. This also comes with a "eye shine" beam that goes over the other eye.

These attach to the inside of the front of her hair; so they don't actually touch the face at all. This means that they can be used with any of her facial expressions.

Since they can be attached separately, the eye patch and eye shine can be used one at a time instead of together as well. Same applies for Megumin's hat and cape.

NSFW Option/alternate pose:

One of the poses that's easy to do with this Nendoroid is after Megumin's used her explosion magic and she's fallen down face-first on the ground. From this view you can see her panties, which are black (which is anime-accurate, just like Aqua's no panties were).

Alternate staff setup/stern expression:

Megumin has one final expression: A stern, action expression. This works best for when she's using her explosion magic.

Also her staff, when using the explosion magic, has a different orb in it. This orb has a small bead inside it that looks a bit like a starbit from Super Mario Galaxy; and is clear instead of colored like the other orb.

Changing the orb out is very easy, as it simply pulls out of the staff. Next to each other it's easy to see the difference between the two orbs.

The explosion that Megumin uses is magic-based and has a magic symbol when summoned. This is the extra part from the back of the cardboard and attaches to a small base with stand included in the set.

It's easy to tell which side is the front of the explosion due to the other side being fairly blank in most areas. Also there is a thin film on the front of the explosion that is there for protection and needs to be taken off when putting it on the stand and displaying it.

Altogether this creates the effect of Megumin summoning her explosion magic, with the accurate orb in her staff and full explosion magic symbol.

Good Smile Company Bonus:

As mentioned previously; the last item to talk about is the Good Smile Company bonus that comes with Megumin! It comes in a sealed black bag; similar to previous GSC exclusive bonuses in the past.

Taken out of the bag; it's easy to see what it is: A special base! This base resembles the Kono Suba logo, but has alternate text on it instead of "Kono Suba". It comes first in some bubble wrap, then in a small plastic bag; which is taped shut.

Taking it out of the bag shows where the peg hole is for the base. This extra base is just a base though; it doesn't come with an extra stand for her...so the original base's stand has to be used with this base.

GSC Base; in use:

It's a nice bonus accessory; giving her something to make her a bit different from other Nendoroids (as all Nendoroids come with the standard base).

With Aqua:

Putting the two Kono Suba girls together really makes for a nice set so far. The two GSC bonus bases are actually different, with Aqua's base being the traditional Kono Suba logo and Megumin's having a different text on it.

Just like all Nendoroids, Megumin is another really a great example of the kind of quality, detail and complexity expected from Good Smile Company with their Nendoroid figures. Very cute and accurate to the anime, she's really nice! Great accessories and posing options; she is quite fun!

There aren't any negative aspects to this figure. The GSC base could have included a stand of it's own too; but that's a minor issue.

But overall this is a really great figure! Well worth picking up; with or without the GSC bonus. Now to wait for Darkness to come out and join her!

Recommended for everyone. Lots of play value and display value with a bunch of options.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to comment and I hope you enjoy the review! Be sure to check out the other reviews here: profiles.php?us...

Base (GSC Base)

MetalSamamon3 года назад#25938696It could be my photography too. I do tend to have the area well-lit so it might shine too much in some areas; taking away from how it might look under normal circumstances to the naked eye. ;;^^ But, to me at least, she's like a normal Nendoroid in terms of quality.
Ah that might be it, sorry for the confusion
