i don't know why USPS workers would be miserable doing their jobs, they probably get paid better than employees of any other profession if you average out dollar per hr. worked

Having cool union benefits or good wage won't be enough to satisfy some people if they aren't happy with the job. The previous mail man I had was a really cranky guy. I rescheduled a package for the next day because I just missed it by like 15 minutes. Then the next day when he shows up he was like, "well I tried to deliver it yesterday". Well, of course you did, I got the slip and and I wasn't there to sign it so that's why I rescheduled it for today. I miss my old mail lady, she was a bit slow but she was always nice.

Alternatively, if the package returns to your proxy, I believe they have the ability to reject it, in which case it would bounce back over to you (barring anymore errors). This happened to me once before with an EMS package as well, and that ended up being the resolution. Overall, it took two months for that to happen. And when the box finally arrived, it was completely crushed, to the point that they had to put the box in a bag in case the contents fell out. Hopefully this does not happen to you.

I filed a claim when I was on the phone yesterday. I have both an inquiry number and a claim number and apparently they are going to "investigate" and call or mail me within 12 days. I will definitely hunt them down if they don't contact me, which I won't have my hopes high of them being proactive about this.

Thanks for letting me know about your experience. Do I need to tell my proxy to specifically decline receiving the package? I guess I'll ask them if they are willing to do that. Hopefully it makes it here eventually.

They've raised incompetence to an art form. They are incompetence personified; the living deification of all that is incompetent. They are incompetence in it most perfect, distilled form, without a trace or hint of competence or even compassion. They've shot right on through evil itself, far far into dark realms that normal folk dream not of.

    Haha, well said.

    Nice loot though!

Thanks for letting me know. I went and dug their official documentation and that scan is saying that the physical address is correct but the name is wrong. But I never saw this package ever, and it's like 5 states away. And thanks!

Macavy4 года назад#6069999Ironically I just had my first issue with the USPS as well, except with a domestic package I sent to someone. They sent it to the incorrect address. It's not something I can replace easily so I'm super bummed.
Sometimes I wonder what goes on in the background that allows these things to happen, especially when they're this ridiculous. Not even attempting a delivery? Hm. Someone was clearly not doing their job.

I think more than several people must have messed up their jobs for my package to have gotten into that situation. I will definitely be giving whoever is supposed to call me a piece of my mind when they do. Also I'm sorry to hear you are having problems too, hope you can get it back somehow.

Cloudy_Cat4 года назад#6070199Nice Tourabu loot! That Jiji pendant is super slick. And that button looks huge :o
It's insane how the price of a few buttons, key-chains and other misc. items can add up so quickly...

Yes, tell me about it. I thought I was just getting a "few" items, but add domestic JP tax and proxy fees and wow that got expensive fast. >_<

donteatacowman4 года назад#6070331Very cute! I'm so sorry to hear about your package problems! It reminds me of an international package I once had to wait an extra month on--allegedly it was returned to sender, but it turned out that the post office just had it sitting in a back room for weeks without telling anybody. Good luck dealing with them. :(

Thanks, maybe my package is just taking a vacation in New York and will come back...maybe...

take1234 года назад#6070388The people working at USPS look miserable. Any government run organization just looks terribly managed. I'm going to have my packages delivered to my PO Box from now on and I can only dread on the prospect of having to wait at the post office... Better than having the package stolen though if I'm not at home.

I understand it's hard times for USPS when they don't have a lot of funding (lots of government institutions really don't have much. Makes me wonder where all that money is going). Things just move too slow in the government for any good change to get moving without taking 10 years. But that doesn't excuse them for their atrocious service. But yeah, I would definitely rather wait and get my package safely than someone take it. Luckily my local mail man is competent and I live in a relatively nice area so I haven't had that issue yet. It's the random Amazon couriers that scare me, I saw one of them just toss my package at the front door once...
