Hi everyone!

I just have a question about Ultimate Guard's Large Size manga covers, if anybody here has purchased them. I purchased a set of 25, and they don't seem to fit (by a veeeeeery slight margin) manga by Viz, Yen Press, or even the one old Tokyopop volume I managed to dig out. It looks like it may be a German company, so I was wondering if maybe German manga has different dimensions? Or even Europe in general?

For reference, North American manga seems to be 19cm while the covers do state 18.8cm.

Any European or German users here who could measure a volume and confirm? Just out of curiosity!

I'm going to keep them regardless, in case I come across any odd sized books they might fit. Unfortunately they seem a little too large for Japanese manga as well.

Thanks!

Broetchen5 лет назад#3099712German Manga usually have a smaller format than english ones but just like in the US there are different sizes for different companies.
The main companies use these dimensions.
Carlsen: 11,5cm X 15,5cm or 12,5cm X 18cm
Tokyopop: 14,5cm X 19cm
EMA: 12,5cm X 18cm

Thanks! I have family in Germany but unfortunately I can't read any German, so I suppose I'll just let the covers sit around and see if anything that fits comes along

Broetchen5 лет назад#3099724I actually don't know about the 07 Ghost manga since I don't own any. It is true that german companies tend to release bigger formats in the last years but all the manga I own are still a lot smaller than the special formats for Hetalia.

I need to pick up more German Manga at some point. It was one way I kept up with the language actually. It's about the same here too. Think it depends on the company and how the series itself was/is formatted.
