Wait ... Seriously ? Why ? And how people knew it was him who did this with his two account ? But I'm glad if he's not there anymore. It's really horrible to do something like that ... Pleasure to hurt people, nice :/
Yes, it's really rare people who like figures here and don't like anime or games. So there always a subject to talk about and I'm really enjoying my time here for the moment ~
Exactly, that's why tutorial are not my things but I love to look at them. There is a lot of things to learn ~
My friends, who are sharing this hobby with me, are living far away (because they moved, because I met them on Internet, ...) so it's not really the best. So I'm stuck reviewing my figures. And I'm doing the same you do. I don't think it's really interesting to make a new review for a figure which have one already. Better concentrated on those which don't have one yet ~

Arghhhhhhh MFC deleted my comment. FML. I'll try to remember what I typed. >.>

The only voting here that is not anonymous are the votes on pictures and even there strange things happened. There are multiple cases of 'reverse harassment' where the uploader of the picture would bother the people giving him/her low scores. ^^''

I guess the only way people would stop with this behaviour (on both sides) if there was only upvoting/likes and no downvoting/dislikes. :P

Well, there are some people that only collector for the aesthetic. Mainly older collectors I have noticed. So those people also don't watch any anime or play games.

Some people have asked me to review figures that already have 3 reviews here and tons of reviews on other websites. ^^'' Considering my low amount of free time I rather focus on new content. :P

Maakie (4 месяца назад) #21227534It could be worse, but I know of a lot of people disliking the rating system. I guess it would be better if it was not anonymous.
I'm at least glad we don't have this troll anymore that was active a few years ago. There was this person with two accounts that would refresh the blogs like crazy and would put 2 downvotes right away when something new got uploaded. That was demotivating especially for newbies or people with blogs about not very popular subjects. ^^''
Yeah, that's the nice part from here, you always know you'll share at least one hobby with everyone! :D And for most people the figure hobby also overlaps with hobbies like gaming, anime/manga, drawing/cosplay etc... :)
I only write a tutorial if I have an interesting subject. Tutorials are not really something you can 'force' as you really need to have something you know a lot about + is interesting to talk about. :)
Even though there are a lot of figure collectors online, it's still a niche hobby, so it can be hard to find someone locally who shares it. ^^'' I'm personally planning to just review everything I own that doesn't have a review here yet, haha!

Mikadocolors (4 месяца назад) #21087809Oh it'd be nice to have another rating system. But still, it's not that bad, I think. And I'm feeling the same. I prefer to turn it on and handle the uninteresting votes or the critics. But in the comments section, people tend to be more neutral or positive rather than negative (I'm pretty sure it's because it's not anonymous!).
It's really nice to be able to talk like that with people sharing the same hobbies. I was a bit shy but since I love to talk, I'm trying to go and comment if I can. But I'm here since three months only so I'm pretty new and still learning tips on this site ~ And now I saw people are pretty nice and open, I'll comment more often ~
I don't have any tutorial to make, but I'd love to do it too ! Even if I'm pretty sure I need to improve a bit more in english to explain correctly. Reviews, I'd love to have friends in my city who collect too to make more reviews with their figures. But I'm stuck with my collection and I don't know what figure to review next ! So I'll try to concentrate on the next part of the figure challenge I'm doing ~ (I kinda forget I was doing it while doing my reviews ! XD)
I don't have the patience to do loots but I love looking at them ! ~

Maakie (4 месяца назад) #21039109Yeah, it's a bit annoying, because I would rather get feedback on the figure or review, instead of people blindly voting because they do or don't like a character. :/ Many active bloggers here have asked to get another rating system, like upvotes only or likes/favorites only. Oh well, I just keep it on and whatever. I feels 'weak' to turn off a voting system, if you know what I mean? Like you can't handle criticism.
Most of the people I've met here is because of them commenting on my blogs or me commenting on theirs! ^^
Same! Reviews are my favorite thing to write, but I also like doing loot posts and tutorials! ^^
I think I improved my English also a lot by writing all my blogs in English! And I switched from UK-English to US-English because of it, lol.

Mikadocolors (4 месяца назад) #20964225Oh ! I see, it looks like : interesting = "I like the figure", more than "I like the post", like you were saying. Ok then I'll stop excepting people to explain why they click on the "uninteresting button" XD
But I'm glad people are leaving some comments. It's always nice to see they're interesting and to share a bit ~ (I love to talk, that's why I'm always trying to find a way to create a blog about something I like to exchange)
I love doing reviews. They're really fun because you're trying to take pictures of the best and worst parts of the figure, sharing what you love, your disappointments, ... But the only thing hard for me is to write it in english. I'll have more things to say in french. But it's a great way to improve !
Like you, I tend to choose figures which don't have any review yet. I want every figures to have a review for people to look at it in details if they need it. I can't do it ... I don't have enough money. But I'll still do the review for the figures I've got ~ (I'm working on one right now but I still need to take pictures. But the weather is really bad thoses past few days so pictures look gloomy !)

Maakie (4 месяца назад) #20959915Lol, I can imagine a lot of people not knowing!
This is a bit of a tricky place if you like feedback by numbers, haha! Votes are completely depending on how popular the character/series/franchise is (put some examples in this spoiler: View spoilerHide spoiler
    I just uploaded a review yesterday of a character of a low-ranking 'bad' anime: blog/33085 63% score
Then recently I uploaded reviews of Lucky Star Characters and you can actually see that how more popular the character is, the higher scores my review would get:
    Miyuki blog/31702&... 75%
    Tsukasa blog/31906&... 71%
    Kagami blog/32391&... 92%
Considering these are all of the same quality pictures and writing and nobody giving me any constructive feedback, the only conclusion I can make out of these sometimes very huge differences is that it's just a popularity vote... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
)and the amount of hits (even on low ranking blogs) is always pretty high, because a lot of users click every blog or are subscribed to everything. ^^''
I guess the best way to get feedback here is through the comments, as those people are mostly 'extra' interested in your content. ;)
Well, you do what you like most? :) I personally like reviewing figures that don't have a review on this website yet. Sometimes it's something popular, the other times it's something ultra niche and old from the dark depths of my collection. There will always be users appreciating it! ^^ And it's a good way to practice photography/writing.

To be honest, I didn't realised it either until I've got the figure ! XD
I'm just trying, maybe someone will be honest ... but I don't really care about the uninteresting ratings. I allow it to see if it's still more interesting than uninteresting to see if I continue or not to make reviews. But even if I didn't have a lot of interesting ratings, I think I'd still do it because I'm pretty sure I can help a bit with reviews for the figure which don't have any (since it helps me a lot with my purchases) ~

Maakie (4 месяца назад) #20841357Very nice reviews of the K-on! girls! :) I didn't even realise Tsumugi had so many posing options until I read your review! :O
And about your comment on the uninteresting votes...you're better off just trying to ignore them.. I have also asked many times for people that vote 'uninteresting' to give me feedback, but never got it. I think most people just hit that button when they see a figure they find uninteresting and it doesn't say much about the quality of the blog.

Thank you ! I'm glad to hear that ~

Sazako (5 месяцев назад) #20112608Hey yeah I'm glad for doing Reviews for your figure (Mugi and Ritsu) who otherwise might have been ignored in this day and age.
A nice simple review of her. I love how the position of her Eyebrows make her look like she means serious business. That and the punk inspired dress ups behind the K-on 5 anniversary figures.

I was a bit surprised when I saw there wasn't any review of those figures. So even if I'd prefer to do one in french (I'd make better comments), I decided to make one because they needed one ! So I'm glad people enjoy a bit what I did =)

And Yeah, I like her pose ! I didn't pay attention to her arm before buying it but when I saw it, I really liked her serious business pose "Let's make good music !". Their outfit are one of the reasons I decided to buy them ! They look so perfect ~ (cute and cool at the same time !)
