Cu-Poche pants

HiyashiHiyashi8 месяцев назадTutorial
I recently got the cu-poche boy swimsuit body (pre-ordered on a whim) and placed my spare Aoba head on it. He looked a bit sad and cold so I wanted to find some clothes for him.

The cu-poche bodies seem to be quite slim and scouring the internet has produced unsatisfying results in terms of cu-poche sized clothes. I decided to try making my own, thinking "How hard could it be?"

Many failed pairs of pants later, I've figured out a basic pattern that is really easy to sew. Hopefully someone will find this useful.

Aoba with his new pants, he's quite pleased~

Before you start, make this pattern on a scrap piece of paper. I'm American, so all the measurements are in inches.

Use the pattern to cut out your fabric. You don't need to cut bigger than the pattern, seam allowance is already factored in (you might want the length to be longer or shorter though, adjust as necessary).

Now to start sewing, fold the rectangle piece in half, wrong sides together, and sew it onto the bottom half, right sides together. It's easier not to hem the bottom of the pants, I just went over the edges with a lighter.

Make sure the waistband is laying flat and sew the two pieces together on the sides (this will become the crotch area).

Fold it in half so that the sides you just sew are touching, then sew down the legs.

Flip it over and you're done!

And ta-da~ Aoba's wardrobe is growing!

Super fast to make and small enough that you could make them with fabric swatches (which is what I did). Feel free to ask questions if any part was unclear.

Hiyashi (7 месяцев назад) #19357815The obitsu are a little bigger and wider in general, they fit but look baggy. Same with the clothes for pukipuki. I find that most doll clothes are on the loose side and I wanted something tight fitting. Plus they take only a couple minutes to make!

Ah okay thanks for letting me know, I'll definitely be doing this then! :)

goingtobed (7 месяцев назад) #19356871The pants look great! Thanks for making this. Have you tried obitsu11 clothing? They may fit, they seem to be about the same size. Not sure if it'll be an exact fit though
